Welcome to The Dorma! The story so far…
It feels like we have been waiting for a long time to introduce you to our latest new build home in Solihull! At long last, we can welcome you to The Dorma, a super-stylish, four-bedroom dormer bungalow that we have tucked away in a quiet corner of Lighthorne Road, Solihull.
Work is well underway on our brand new bungalow! And we think it’s about time we brought you up to date on the build – there’s a lot to cover!
The First Foundations
With the site for The Dorma selected, and our plans in place, work began on digging the foundations for our new four-bedroomed, three-bathroomed dormer bungalow. Our digger might look small, but it’s powerful! We had the site cleared in no time and we were ready to begin marking out the foundations for our new build property.
Perfectly Poured Concrete
There is something so satisfying about freshly poured concrete! It’s one of our favourite points of any new build because it means that the build is truly underway!
Once the main foundations have been dug, our construction team were able to bring in the concrete! And after the pouring pipes were placed, it was time to let it pour! Watch this video to see the magic happen! What a perfect pour!

One-of-a-kind, and built with you in mind
The Dorma has been designed to create a unique, flexible living space spanning over two spacious floors. We have found the perfect location on a quiet cul-de-sac just 3/4 of a mile from the centre of Solihull, close to local amenities, schools, and transport links. The Dorma’s four bedrooms and three bathrooms span over both floors of the dormer bungalow, and the flexible, open living space is ideal for family life. The Dorma will be flooded with light, thanks to its large feature windows – including a cathedral-style glass entrance with a double-height ceiling – what a statement!
The Dorma will follow the modern, contemporary style of all Kingslea Homes and our lucky buyers will enjoy all of the wonderful little extras that are included as standard with all of our brand new properties – including a beautifully landscaped garden with pre-laid lawn, garden shed, and outside water tap, an electric vehicle charging point, and a pressurised hot water tank (this is standard in all 4 bedroom+ Kinglsea Homes) – Wow!
